ABOUT HEATHER

Heather Henry-Lines is a PhD candidate having recently completed a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on Health Economics through the Faculty of Economics at Stellenbosch University. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, an MBA from Stellenbosch University, a Certificate in Health Technology Assessment from Stellenbosch, a Master’s Degree in Pharmaco- and Health Economics from Barcelona School of Management and originally trained as a Registered Nurse, Midwife and an Intensive Care Nursing Sister.
Apart from specializing in health economics and reimbursement, Heather also has experience in the Market Analysis of the Healthcare sector for both South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. Heather has more than 14 years’ experience as a senior manager in Medtronic South Africa, Johnson and Johnson South Africa and DISA Health Sciences, leading sales and marketing teams selling medical devices into the cardiovascular market. In all of these roles she built and led loyal, professional sales teams, who went on to win both national and international sales awards. Heather is strategically minded and a proven track record of growing small businesses or turning failing businesses around. Heather, until recently served on the board of The International Society for Pharmaco-economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and served on the board of the Vascular Society of Southern Africa’s Special Projects group.
ABOUT ZAIDA

Zaida holds a Bachelors Degree in Clinical Technology through the Durban University of Technology and Nelson Mandela School of Medicine and looks forward to completing her MBA over the next 2 years.
Zaida completed her internship in 2001 at King Edward Hospital, KZN and then went on to work at The Department of Anaesthetics Medical School. From there Zaida joined Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital and gained most of her clinical experience and knowledge in Cardiology/ Cardiothoracics/ Neuro/ Paeds/ Vascular /ICU. She also worked privately as a Clinical Technician for 5 years before deciding to venture into Sales and Marketing as she was hungry for a new challenge. Zaida has more than 9 years experience in the Medical Devices Industry as both a Clinical Specialist and Sales Executive
Zaida is focused on customer centricity and providing the best products to improve patient outcomes. She is passionate about her patients as well as making a difference to their quality of life by providing the latest technology and innovative solutions that are available.
